One Thing the Supermarkets Cannot Control

Over the last 20 or 30 years countless local shops and trades have been put out of business by the supermarkets. It started with the high streets shops~ Butchers, Bakers, Chemists and Greengrocers were all powerless and unable to compete with supermarket prices.

The next wave of small business to be targeted were the Clothes shops, Insurance Brokers, music stores and even Garden Centres.

 Then, this year under the guise of “A family festival celebrating all the best things British” one supermarket tried to stage a Music festival at a Stately home near Leeds.

BUT THE ONE THING THAT SUPERMARKETS CANNOT CONTROL IS THE WEATHER

And two days before the event had to cancel, blaming the forecast rain, (If I remember rightly) that did not stop Download last month………….I wonder if the tickets were not selling to well ?
