Quasimodo + The Purity League + AMereKat! At The Packhorse, Leeds

After a hard week at work I was ready for in need of beer and loud music.
This was a fund raiser for PAFRAS, that`s Positive Action For Refugees and Asylum Seekers. So I was really pleased to be able to contribute something to that cause.
As always it so nice to be greeted by Quasimodo`s Joel who was running the event.
Opening the night was alt-uke troubadour extraordinaire AMereKat! Who performed for us several covers and some of her own writings.

The Purity League.
Next up were the dark alt-rockers The Purity League. The band formally known as Joyhause used to cover many post punk and Goth numbers, but now do their own songs, this was their first gig in this new format and I loved it. But if a picture can say a thousand words then see the gig here on youtube

Headlining was Quasimodo,  and boy was they on top form! Joel belted out the vocals with Emma and David power driving the cords melodies and riffs. One of my favourites is Soldier of love, here`s a link

A fantastic set to end a great night.
