I left school as soon as I could, and a bit before I should have, a few days before my sixteenth birthday.I messed / lazed around for a few weeks then settled in to my first proper job as a Commies (Trainee) Chef at a Pub cum Restaurant
The Jester Pub, where I first worked. Not my pic
I had a 45 minute bus journey 3 times a day and a `staff taxi` home at night, often not getting home much before midnight!
I must have spent 90% of my waken time wearing Chefs Whites, so I never needed to buy many cloths. In winter I never saw daylight! The only money I spent seemed to be at work on drink!
Did have some fun there, we made the world`s largest Yorkshire Pudding (Me on right)
