Potted Christmas trees

When buying ‘Potted’ Christmas trees; usually if in RED pots they are ‘field grown’, ripped out of the ground, most likely by a tractor and stuffed into the pot by unskilled workers, sometimes held in place by a nail. They will have very few small roots on.  It is very unlikely these will grow if planted in your garden after been in a hot room over Christmas.
Not my pic.
Trees in BLACK pots are usually ‘Pot grown’ these are the ones that will have their roots intact, if you want to put them in your garden, after the holidays, you need to still keep them as cool as possible and WELL WATERED over the holidays.
